Story County Medical Center (SCMC) has been meeting the health care needs of area residents since 1951. SCMC is a full-service primary care hospital that offers an extensive array of health care services.

The Medical Center's services also include family healthcare clinics in four Story County communities (Nevada, Maxwell, Zearing & Slater), natural health services at its clinic in Ames, a variety of specialty services offered through its outpatient clinics, community wellness programs, and multiple community benefit programs.
