Education & Accomplishments: Dr. Whitmer is a graduate of the University of Kansas in 1988 with a degree in Physical Therapy.  He practiced PT for several years prior to attending Des Moines University Medical School and graduated in 1997.  His internship and residency programs were completed at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
