If you'd like to call a patient/resident who is staying at Story County Medical Center or in SCMC Long Term Care, dial (515) 382-2111 and ask for the patient/resident BY NAME. If the patient/resident has given SCMC permission to allow calls, your call will be transferred to the his/her room. If, however, the patient/resident has not given SCMC permission to transfer calls, we will not be able to do so.

Once you speak with the patient or resident, you may ask him/her to give you his/her direct phone number into his/her room.
